Top 5 wedding photography images of 2012.

2012 was a fantastic year for me as a wedding photographer, having photographed nearly 20 weddings around Loughborough, Leicester and Leicestershire throughout the course of the year. In 2012 I also became involved in a new branch of Google’s street view technology and have started to photograph ‘virtual tours’, which are linked to Street View, in the Leicester and Loughborough area. Exciting stuff!

I have decided to make a selection of my top 5 images of the year, taken from my wedding photography portfolio made in 2012. All of these images were taken by myself at various wedding photography venues throughout Leicester, and each image has it’s own story, feel, and many special memories attached to it.  I am really proud to have been part of so many peoples wedding day’s, and I would like to say thank you to all of my wonderful clients for choosing to include me as part of them!

After an extremely eventful, inspiring and memorable year, I begin 2013 with a feeling of excitement for the year to come.

Thanks all!

Winter Wedding Photography at The Belmont Hotel

More winter wedding photography in Leicester in this post, at my most popular wedding venue, The Belmont Hotel. This lovely couple had an intimate wedding, with just the couple, their witnesses, and myself present for their ceremony. As their wedding was a small and quiet affair, the couple booked a photo session for the minimum booking time, making wedding photography much more affordable, without skimping on quality.

Quorn Country Hotel Winter Wedding Photography

Winter weddings are always a completely different affair to summer weddings, usually the obvious and continuous problem of the weather can mean that outdoor shots are out of the question, however a good wedding photographer will be able to adapt to his or her surroundings and capture wonderful images non the less.

Rebecca and Dave got married in December at The Quorn Country Hotel in Loughborough, Leicestershire. As a wedding photographer who works in Loughborough and Leicester I have photographed many locations before, however the Quorn Country Hotel was a new venue for me and I was looking forward to capturing some great photographs for this lovely couple at this Loughborough venue.

We were lucky with the weather and after a lovely ceremony I took the guests outside for a large group photograph, taken out of a balcony window. After this we quickly took some great shots of the couple in the grounds of the hotel, not spending too long outside as it was absolutely freezing!!

Above, you can see the wedding photography images taken in Loughborough, which hopefully show that winter weddings can be great for wedding photography too!

Wedding Photography at Halsted House, Leicestershire

As a wedding photographer who covers the whole of Leicestershire, Loughborough and occasional jobs in the surrounding counties, I have worked in many location and wedding venues, however this was my first wedding assignment at Halsted House, and I can honestly say that it is one of the most beautiful wedding venues I have worked in so far.

Lee & Lisa wanted some quirky images of their big day, as well as images which showed the charm of the location. With a mix of group photographs, detail shots and reportage work, the final set of images really do give a narrative of the day. The sun was shining and the autumn light made it easy for me to capture some fab images; starting with lots of lovely detail shots with Lisa getting ready in the beautiful cottage next to the house, photographs during the emotional and moving ceremony, through to group shots and some wonderful shots of the couple together.

I have included some of the images taken before the ceremony, lovely detail shots work really well in conjunction with portraits, and also some shots of the couple together, all of which look fabulous together and would make for a fantastic wedding album.

Enjoy!
