After my first wedding photography assignment at The Belmont hotel, which you can find here, being so enjoyable and the images so creative and fun, my second wedding shoot at The Belmont came upon me with anticipation. I arrived to find the bride in the beautiful suite pictured below, getting ready with her bridesmaids and her mum; the smell of perfume in the air and the buzz of anticipation palpable!
After the ceremony, which was particularly moving at points, the couple moved out of the ceremony room and through to the bar area to be greeted, congratulated and to mingle generally, we gathered up the wedding party and took some photographs of the bride and groom and their guests together. It was raining heavily this day so I made use of the light and airy conservatory area for these photographs, and am really pleased with the results.
One of my favourite images of the day is the black and white image on the left below; a candid moment in which I wanted to capture the beautiful detail of the brides quite frankly stunning dress. I love the feeling of glamour that the falling light gives and the relaxed look of the bridesmaids in front of her. The conservatory area worked so well for these shots and I think that it goes to show that a good wedding photographer can capture a stunning shot in what ever conditions, (which is a good job, considering the summer that we have had!!). Thanks to the lovely couple for having me as part of their classy, moving and very special day.
