This beautiful wedding took place in the picturesque village of Church Langton, near Market Harborough, and was certainly a tale of two halves! I arrived to photograph the bride getting ready in her pinstriped wedding dress, (to match the Alice in Wonderland theme of the day!), and took some detail shots of the bridesmaids having their hair and make up finished, whilst enjoying the jovial atmosphere in the house. The time always flies when taking bride and bridesmaids images and it was soon enough time to move on to the church to photograph the guests arriving , meet the vicar and find the groom nervously awaiting his bride!
The Church, as you can see in the images below, is an absolutely beautiful wedding venue; boasting stunning stained glass and high arched ceilings. I was delighted as I walked in to have the privilege of being the wedding photographer at this Market Harborough wedding. The ceremony was a lively affair with a happy atmosphere and I was allowed free reign with my flash gun in my position tucked away behind the vicar with the choir!
After the ceremony the couple led their guests away and into a complete change of ambience from the serene atmosphere of the church, at their reception, where the Alice in Wonderland theme appeared, as if by magic! The table decorations, crockery and beautiful little cakes wowed everyone, including me, and I was enjoying firing off shots of the guests enjoying their surroundings as they sat down to ta and cakes with the happy couple.
The day overall was really memorable for me and I was glad to have been the wedding photographer at this Market Harborough picture post card wedding, and a part of such a special day.
